Overview
Availability can be viewed throughout the portal in the following pages and reports:
- Automated Report: Executive Availability V1
- Automated Report: Executive Availability V2
- Automated Report: Script Performance and Availability
- Synthetic Monitoring: Error State Tracking
How to Availability is Calculated
Availability is measured from enabled synthetic monitors. To calculate we divide the time the monitor spent in a critical code by total run time of the monitor for the selected time period.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Masking
If an issue is masked in Error State Tracking, it will not impact availability and will be treated as uptime/clear state. To mask an error, select the "Mask" toggle in the Synthetic Error State Tracking Page.
Maintenance Windows
Configured maintenance windows will be ignored in the availability calculation. Failures occurring during this time will not impact uptime.
Synthetic Codes
you are able to configure what HTTP status codes are categorized as (Warning, Critical, Clear). If you see a status code you think is mislabeled, check the Synthetic Codes page first. If you do not have access to this page, please reach out to your account admin or BT representative.
What if there has been no changes to the monitor in the time period?
If the monitor remains in a clear state for the entire selected time period, we have accounted for that in our data.
