This release delivers a few critical bug fixes.

Portal v8.9- VitalScope

November 12, 2024

New Features

  • VitalScope is now live on the Rum Performance Overview page

  • A change to the tag, APIs, Data science has been made such that VitalScope data is being fetched from dedicated formal fields and vacates some of the custom variables

Updates

  • Synthetic measurements: Display the LCP element and the LCP URL on the Synthetic Performance Details and Instant Measurement Pages

  • FID is removed from the CrUX Report page in accordance with the market

  • Updated Dark Theme

    • Follows the same UI/UX as the Simple Light Theme

    • Simple Light theme was renamed to Light

    • Users can continue using dark and light themes, as well as the others. However, users switching themes can only use the dark and light themes. In January 2025, all users will be transitioned to use the dark or light themes based on their preference.

  • Performance Budgets page: filter edge conditions could cause the page to pause

  • Revenue Calculator page: The Conversion Rate Over Time graph displaying data for all pages independent of the filter settings

  • Synthetic Monitors page, Error State Tracking page, Performance Details page: Occasional performance issue resulting in extended load times

  • Customer Journey Page: Prevent setting of converting page filter on non-converting paths view. This essentially caused a query into all the non-converting paths that converted and result in a blank dataset.

  • Various pages: In some cases a large data set for the filter options (A/B segment, Data center, Campaign name) would cause the page to error

This release delivers the VitalScope in the RUM Performance Overview page, and a few visual updates to the Synthetic Performance Details and Instant Measurement pages.

  • The Monitor Name filter was missing from: Synthetic Performance Comparison, Synthetic Monitoring Object Level Trending, API Checks Performance Detail, API Checks Performance Overview

    • Fixed a few stability issues on the page

  • Fixed an issue on the Revenue Calculator and Revenue Opportunity pages where the Average Order Value line on the graphs was unintentionally getting rounded

Portal v6.7.2

August 22, 2024

  • Fixed an issue where daily bucketed data for yesterday’s date was not properly hitting the updated database structure for percentile CWV data

    • This was causing the most recent data point for the Core Metrics By Site report to change the next day the report ran

  • Fixed an issue for daily bucketed percentile data that is accessing Core Web Vitals metrics where the data was not properly getting the selected time zone applied

    • This was causing daily bucketed percentile data to be off by a few hours. In the case of the Eastern time zone, it was off by 4 hours at the bottom of the hour and 4 hours at the top of the hour. It was looking at 00:00 UTC instead of 00:00 EDT (04:00 UTC)

  • Updated the query that accesses the Site Availability log to remove any duplicated data that may exist in the system.  This prevented an issue where the API was accessing too much data and running out of memory.

Portal v8.7

August 14, 2024

  • Adjusted the way that we are presenting the percentile data on the Performance Details page and Data Science page.  This should make it so that all the percentile data throughout the portal and emailed reports is presented in the same way.

    • The Performance Details numbers in the cards and in the bar graphs will no longer be created by averaging the data points in the line graph

      • Each data set is now its own query to prevent averaging percentiles together

        • Line graph for all selected pages (not clicking on a bar)

        • Line graph when clicking on a bar

        • Cards when not selecting a bar

        • Bar graphs / Cards when selecting a bar

    • The table at the bottom of the Data Science page is now created from its own query instead of averaging the numbers from the line graph above

  • Fixed an issue with synthetic filmstrips when looking at single page measurements that have measure cache turned on

  • Fixed an issue in the API where a daylight savings bug was causing any graph markers created via API to potentially be off by 1 hour

Upcoming Changes

    • In order to improve the performance and reliability of the API, measures have been made to control the rate of API requests that may be initiated to the Blue Triangle Public API.
