When does Traffic Segment get set and how is it configured?

Traffic Segment is set based on whatever is set on the Page Naming page. If you need Traffic Segment set to anything other than what is set on the Page Naming page, please reach out to your Blue Triangle representative. They will be able to help you with this configuration!

Traffic Segment is *session* level segmentation. This is set on the very *first* page a user hits when they land on the site. If no Traffic Segment rule is in place (or a Page Name rule is not in place for a specific page name), Unnamed_Page is recorded. Any code that is put in place to recognize Traffic Segment (outside of Page Naming) segmentation is evaluated when customers load the BTT tag on the first page they hit on your website.
Once set, you will then be able to filter down on the specific Traffic Segment in the portal after data has been processed.
